Natasha Marks is a multi-faced artist. She started her journey by exploring herself and her body through line drawings, and eventually moved on to textiles, as well as abstract art. She works to marry simplicity with texture, to create tactile experiences through art. Her works can be found on murals in the LA area, as well as in personal collections.

What began as a way for Natasha to work through her body dysmorphia, slowly morphed into an expression of self love and healing. Through her line drawings she explores body, face, and botany, connecting almost every line to create a whimsical environment within her pieces.

Natasha fell into creating shoes accidentally, but immediately fell in love with the process. By sewing together a wide range of materials including fabric and decorative paper, she creates 2D versions of popular shoes, often times adding in a touchable spot to create an interactive space. The shoes range in size and materials, and are one of a kind.

As a Montessori certified preschool teacher, Natasha has always been interested in tactile learning. This is highlighted in her love of texture and shape in these abstract pieces. Using a combination of molding paste, joint compound, and acrylic paint, her pieces explore movement and color, and are meant to add interest to a room without overpowering the space itself.

From line drawings to tropical oases, Natasha uses her skills to help local business transform their spaces into a work of art. Her murals have generated foot traffic, as well as created beautiful photo ops for customers to share.
